When Ford unveiled the hardcore Mustang GTD at Monterey Car Week last year, its aggressive face was plastered all across the internet, and as of Wednesday, Americans and Canadians can apply to potentially buy one.
Ford is expanding access to its free Mustang driving school at Charlotte Motor Speedway to include anyone who purchases a new 2024-model-year-or-later Mustang. The program was previously only included with the purchase of the sportier Mustang Dark Horse variant,
The Mustang GTD is, effectively, the next Ford supercar. The last time the Blue Oval had a car near this price point, early demand exceeded supply so much that it needed a complicated application process.
Like the Ford GT before it, would-be GTD owners must first apply for an allocation from Ford. If the automaker grants you an application, you can then place your order through the dealership of your choice.
