Epic and Apple have been locked in a legal battle, resulting in Fortnite being unavailable on Apple devices for quite some time. But that's finally changing, as the Fortnite company has announced that the Epic Games Store is coming to iOS and Android devices later this year!

Back in January 2024, Epic Games confirmed that Fortnite would be coming to iOS in the EU through a whole new Epic Games Store app on the App Store. This not only gives fans access to Fortnite but also other Epic properties, as long as they are ported to Apple devices.

After the European Commission ruled that iPadOS must comply with the same DMA rules as iOS, Epic Games announced that the iPad version of Fortnite will return to Apple's tablets later this year.

Fortnite’s lengthy exile from the iPhone and iPad looks set to end soon, at least in the EU. Having declared back in January its intention to bring the popular game back to iOS in 2024, Epic Games today boasted that it will also return to iPadOS this year.
