Nokia no more? HMD debuts brand-new smartphone line
HMD Global, the company behind Nokia-branded phones, is making a bold move. They’re launching their first original smartphone line, simply called the HMD Pulse series. This marks a departure from exclusively producing Nokia-branded devices and hints at bigger ambitions for the company.
HMD’s First Non-Nokia Phones Are Here and They’re Self-Repairable
The HMD Pulse series consists of three devices — the HMD Pulse, Pulse+, and Pulse Pro. HMD claims the phones are highly repairable.
HMD Vibe and Pulse are the company’s first Nokia-free Android phones
HMD Vibe has a Snapdragon 680 processor, 6GB of RAM, a 6.56-inch 90Hz display (just like the trio of Pulse phones), and a 13MP main rear camera. It also has a 4,000 mAh battery, down slightly from the 5,000 mAh of the Pulse lineup, but still with charging over USB-C.
