Sebastien Bourdais, Renger van der Zande put Chip Ganassi Racing-prepared Cadillac V-Series.R in victory lane.

Cadillac Racing drivers Renger van der Zande and Sebastien Bourdais won the GTP race, 0.564 seconds ahead of Whelen Cadillac Racing drivers Jack Aitken and Pipo Derani, giving Cadillac the top-two spots in the race.

Australia's Jordan Roddy wheels Sebastien Bourdais' Newman/Haas Racing 2005 Lola B05/00 in the first HMSA historic series race at Long Beach where the car won the Champ Car race in 2006.

Cadillac Racing swept the top two spots at Long Beach on April 20th, 2024, with the No. 01 V-Series.R in Victory Lane and the No. 31 in second.

Bourdais and van der Zande’s margin of victory was .564 seconds over Derani and Jack Aitken. Porsche Penske Motorsport’s Dane Cameron and Felipe Nasr were third, followed by teammates Mathieu Jaminet and Nick Tandy. Proton Competition’s Gianmaria Bruni and Mike Rockenfeller were fifth.

For the second consecutive year, status quo was the winning tire strategy in the IMSA Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach. Electing to run the 100-minute race without a tire change, the No. 01 Chip Ganassi Racing Cadillac leap-frogged the pole-sitter in the pits and held on for the victory in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
