Toyota will spend $1.4 billion to build electric 3-row SUV in Indiana
Curiously, Toyota says this will be an entirely different all-new three-row electric SUV to the all-new three-row electric SUV that it will build at its factory in Georgetown, Kentucky. That plant upgrade, which was made public last summer, will cost Toyota $1.3 billion.

Toyota Motor Corp said on Thursday it would invest $1.4 billion in its Princeton facility in Indiana to prepare for assembly of a three-row battery electric SUV.This brings up Toyota's total investment in Indiana to $8 billion and adds up to 340 new jobs at the Japanese automaker.

T oyota is making a $1.4 billion infrastructure investment in its Indiana plant to further support its electrification efforts in the U.S. The automaker on Thursday said that the additional financing comes as it prepares to assemble a new three-row battery electric sports utility vehicle in that facility, and will bring 340 new jobs.
