Arizona Guv Signs Bill to Overturn 1864 Abortion Ban
Arizona went from 1864 to 2024 Thursday as Gov. Katie Hobbs (D) signed legislation into law that overturns an 1864 abortion ban. But because of procedural delays, the ban could still go into effect for at least the next few weeks. Arizona voters will be able to vote on a ballot measure this November that would enshrine abortion rights into law.
