The Philadelphia School District is partnering with Mayor Cherelle Parker to develop a plan that could completely alter the traditional school calendar for city schools.
According to the DepEd official, the "most aggressive option" to revert to the old school calendar would be ending SY 2024-2025 on March 31, 2025, which would only accumulate around 165 school days.
The notable changes to the calendar include the first day of school starting on Tuesday, August 13, and the conclusion of the school year on May 21 for students.
