CROMWELL, Conn. — Jay Monahan is leaving the PGA Tour next year after a decade that ends with a league fractured by the Saudi riches of LIV Golf, turning it over to top NFL executive Brian Rolapp in a new role as CEO.

Brian Rolapp, who was most recently chief media and business officer for the NFL, will become CEO of PGA Tour, Inc. and PGA Tour Enterprises later this summer, overseeing pro golf at a critical moment for the sport. Jay Monahan, Commissioner of the PGA Tour, will remain with the organization through the end of 2026 as a board member.

The PGA Tour announced Brian Rolapp as its new CEO on Tuesday with the former NFL executive set to take on the role later this year as Commissioner Jay Monahan transitions his day-to-day responsibilities.
