Riviera Beach police say the man made physical contact with an officer during morning drop-off at the school. Neither students nor staff were harmed.

A SWAT team was dispatched Monday morning to the Target store in Woodbury Village for an “active scene,” police said. Police updated early Monday afternoon that law enforcement “has resolved the situation at Valley Creek Plaza but will remain visible in the area. Residents no longer need to shelter in place.”

No students or school staff members were harmed in the incident, and there is no threat to students or the public.
