Law enforcement officials in Indiana have announced the arrest of two people in connection with an apparent road rage shooting that left a deaf man dead. Investigators said 35-year-old Ryan Hawkins was shot in the neck on May 1 as he was driving on Interstate 65,

Reports of gunfire on the interstate came in at the same time as reports of a vehicle going off the road into a pond May 1, 2024.

A person is dead after a road rage shooting possibly led to a vehicle crashing into a pond, Indiana State Police said.

The incident, which the family claims started with a "honking incident," led to a chase on I-65, ending with Hawkins being shot and his car veering off the road and into a pond. He also got ejected from the car and died from a gunshot wound to the neck per WRTV.
