Several businesses have been evacuated at Island Crossing Plaza due to a strong smell of gas on Wednesday morning.

The fire was reported before 4 a.m. in a fourth floor unit at the Canongate building on Northeast 195th Street, where footage shows bright orange flames and heavy smoke.
