Food, music, clothing and community have been integral to how people across the North celebrated National Indigenous Peoples Day.

It’s National Indigenous Peoples' Day, and at Montreal’s Old Port, a civic ceremony took place involving a traditional tobacco ceremony, drumming and dances.

Events in museums and public parks were held across the province on Friday and Saturday to mark National Indigenous Peoples Day. They included dancing, educational events, singing and marches.
