A new wildfire was reported today at 11:59 a.m. in Los Angeles County. The wildfire has been burning on private land. Currently, there is no information on the containment of the fire and the cause of it has yet to be determined.

A congressional report says a technological glitch caused an emergency alert to be mistakenly sent to millions of Los Angeles County residents in January rather than only those in the proximity of a wildfire.

After Los Angeles County put out faulty emergency alerts during January's massive wildfires, members of Congress are asking for more oversight and funding for the emergency alert system. Mike Rogers reports.
