COLUMBIA -- One man was killed Wednesday and another was arrested following a hit-and-run crash near the campus of the University of South Carolina, according to the Columbia Police Department.

Casey Crafton was among those killed in Wednesday’s plane crash, Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont said on X. “Salem has lost a dedicated father, husband, and community member,” Lamont said.
