The aftermath of a NASA mission has produced over two million pounds of space debris, which has the potential to rain down as a century-long meteor shower.

A new study published in The Planetary Science Journal suggests that NASA’s Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) mission could lead to a meteor shower. Later in 2024, the European Space Agency plans to launch a follow-up mission to explore the potential impacts.
