A SpaceX rocket carrying the 7,001st Starlink internet satellite launched into orbit from Florida today (Sept. 5), then aced its landing at sea.

Riding atop a fuel cell filled with a million pounds of liquid kerosene, SpaceX launched 21 Starlink communications satellites on a Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California at 6:45 p.

SpaceX is gearing up for its next Falcon 9 rocket launch scheduled for early Wednesday morning. The launch, part of its ongoing Starlink mission, is set to deploy several Starlink V2 Mini satellites into low Earth orbit.

SpaceX is watching the weather ahead of Tuesday's Falcon 9 launch of the European Commission's Galileo L13 mission, which will carry its navigation satellite constellation to medium Earth orbit.

SpaceX has scrubbed their Wednesday afternoon launch attempt of a Starlink mission. Now, 21 satellites are expected to head to low-Earth orbit tomorrow morning.

SpaceX will attempt to launch another set of Starlink rockets after weather conditions aborted the launch Wednesday.
