A South Texas community, mostly made up of SpaceX employees, voted 212 to 6 in favor of establishing a new city called Starbase.

Voters overwhelmingly approve Elon Musk's SpaceX company town, "Starbase," in South Texas, with some employees elected as city officials.

With the incorporation of Starbase, the area now has a city council, mayor and commissioners. Voters unanimously elected a mayor, Bobby Peden, who works for SpaceX, according to his LinkedIn profile.
