U.S. strikes on the Ras Isa fuel port in western Yemen killed at least 38 people on Thursday, Houthi-run media said, one of the deadliest days since the United States began its attacks on the Iran-backed militants.

Yemen's Houthi rebels say US airstrikes targeting Ras Isa oil port have killed 20 people and wounded 50 others. The Hearst Foundations has awarded Washington State University with a $150,000 grant.

This death poll could be the highest in any US airstrike on Houthis since the newly launched campaign against them came into action on March 15.
