Schools may soon be able to have staff voluneer to be armed The Iowa House has sent the governor a bill that will let teachers and other school staff volunteer to carry a gun at school if their school board approves.
There could be more guns in Brevard Public Schools. A new email went out to BPS staff on Friday evening, asking who wanted to volunteer for the district’s "Guardian Program," which would arm certain staff members with guns.
