LEWISTON, Cache County — A barn at a large commercial egg farm in Cache County burned down Tuesday evening. Cache County Fire Marshal Jason Winn said the blaze started about 4 p.m. at Oakdell Egg Farms in Lewiston. When firefighters arrived on scene, flames were reaching through the roof of a chicken barn that held about 120,000 chickens.

No employees or firefighters were injured as a result of the incident. "It is a long-standing operation, a very large one of the probably one of the three largest in the state of Utah," said Utah Department of Agriculture & Food Commissioner Craig Buttars.
