Auburn's defensive secondary gets some of their depth back. With Scott's return, he can offer depth and support in 2024 and can compete for a larger role and potential starting spot in 2025. His role should be larger this season than a year ago when he played nine snaps against the Samford Bulldogs.

Langlo’s decision to transfer comes after he reportedly separated from the team in mid-August of 2023. That same week, Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze said Langlo had decided to step away from football. Prior to his departure, Langlo, who was a redshirt sophomore at the time, spent fall camp getting second-team reps at the left tackle spot.

With Auburn possessing four true freshmen at the wide receiver position, players like Perry Thompson and Cam Coleman will be able to learn from a proven veteran player. One of the concerns with Auburn's 2023 roster is so much inexperience to begin with, so Lambert-Smith helps in that regard as well.

Former Penn State wide receiver KeAndre Lambert-Smith is planning to transfer to Auburn. Lambert-Smith announced his commitment to the Tigers on social media Wednesday. He started most of the past three years for the Nittany Lions and has 116 career catches for 1,598 yards. He led the team with 53 catches for 674 and four touchdowns last season.

The newest entrees into the portal include offensive lineman Andy Hartman, kicker and Clarkston native Stephen Rusnak and defensive lineman Bai Jobe.
