Israel’s defense minister has said that the country’s military has eliminated half of Hezbollah’s commanders in southern Lebanon. But analysts doubt whether Israel’s increasing use of targeted killings would weaken the militant group.

The Israeli military has claimed it has assassinated more than half of all Hezbollah commanders in southern Lebanon.

Gaza Hezbollah, which is engaged in daily cross-border exchanges of fire along the Lebanon-Israel frontier, has denied Israel's claim to have eliminated half of the militant group's commanders in southern Lebanon.
