While responding to the shooting, a police cruiser with two officers inside got involved in a multi-vehicle crash, according to Eastlake Police Chief Michael Werner. Five vehicles were involved in the wreck. Medics transported both officers and two civilians to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, Chief Werner said.

The crash report stated that all three officers had their seatbelts on and did not have any alcohol or drugs in their systems.

A motorcyclist has died following a crash on a road in Aberdeenshire. The 59-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene on the B966 at Cairnton of Balbengo after the crash involving a blue and white Suzuki GSXR 750 bike on Saturday evening.
