NYON, Switzerland — Barcelona was fined 25,000 euros ($26,600) by UEFA on Thursday for Nazi salutes and monkey gestures by fans at a Champions League game against Paris Saint-Germain last week.
This is not the first time that Barcelona have faced sanctions under UEFA’s disciplinary code. Their fans have been caught making racial slurs often in the past for which they have been fined.
