Ten inmates who broke out of a New Orleans jail Friday had prepared for their escape, and possibly had help, officials said.

A manhunt for the inmates who escaped from a New Orleans​ jail​ by fleeing through a hole behind a toilet entered its third day on Sunday.

Ten inmates were discovered missing during a routine head count, the sheriff's office said. Three have since been found.
