The death toll from the devastating landslides in southern Ethiopia has climbed to 257, according to the UN’s humanitarian agency OCHA, which cited local authorities on Wednesday.
Many of those killed by a mudslide in Ethiopia died as they tried to rescue survivors of an earlier slide, authorities said.
