U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer plans to hold a vote on U.S. President Joe Biden’s request for billions in assistance for Ukraine and Israel as soon as the week of Dec. 4, news website Politico reported on Nov.

U.S. lawmakers are racing to reach a deal on billions of dollars in aid to Ukraine and Israel before the holiday break. VOA's Congressional Correspondent Katherine Gypson has more.

"I intend to bring the President’s national security supplemental package to the floor as soon as the week of December 4th," Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said.
