MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Police Department (MPD) is investigating a shooting that left a woman dead on Friday morning, May 23. Officers responded to a shooting call in the 1100 block of Cannon St. at around 6 a.m. Police say a shooting victim was taken to Regional One in critical condition, and she was later pronounced dead.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A woman died after gunfire erupted Friday morning at a South Memphis apartment building, police said. Memphis Police said officers were called just before 6 a.m. to the apartments on Georgia Avenue off South Danny Thomas Boulevard for a shooting call. They arrived to find a woman had died by gunfire.
