Lionel Messi and Argentina will get the chance to avenge their defeats to Chile in the 2015 and 2016 Copa America finals after being grouped with their old rivals in the draw for next year's tournament on Thursday.

The opening path for the United States Men's National Team's journey to Copa América was set Thursday night in Miami. The draw for the combined CONCACAF and CONMEBOL extravaganza set the groups for the 48th edition of the oldest continental tournament in soccer.

Argentina, Mexico, the United States and Brazil are the top seeds in the four groups in a tournament that is the first big challenge for the Americans as they prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Uruguay plays Panama on June 23. Defending champion Argentina, featuring Inter Miami star Lionel Messi, will face Peru on June 29 in a game that should sell out in minutes. Hard Rock Stadium will also host the tournament final on July 14.

In another group stage game, Perú will face Chile at the home of the Dallas Cowboys; Copa America will run from June 20 to July 14.
