NASCAR is pressing pause on its Chicago Street Race, answering at least one major question about its schedule for next season. NASCAR raced on a street course in downtown Chicago on the first weekend in July each of the last three years.

The second round of NASCAR's In-Season Challenge will take place on the streets of Chicago this weekend with a strong list of contenders.

NASCAR and city officials are working toward a return to the Windy City in 2027.
