Sixers center Joel Embiid will miss the upcoming road trip due to increased swelling in his left knee following Thursday’s workout, the team announced. He will be re-evaluated in seven to 10 days.

“While the foot sprain has healed, Embiid experienced an increase in swelling in his left knee following the workout,” the Sixers said in a statement. “After consulting with team medical staff and external doctors, Embiid will receive treatment in the coming days to address the swelling.”

After a loss to the Indiana Pacers on Saturday, the Sixers are now 15-25 on the season and still on the outside looking in at the play-in tournament. Embiid has played in only 13
