Samsung Electronics Co. co-Chief Executive Officer Han Jong-Hee, who is credited for growing the Korean conglomerate into the world’s top electronics company, has died. He was 63.

Han Jong-hee, who was in charge of Samsung's consumer electronics and mobile devices division, died while being treated for cardiac arrest on Tuesday.

Jong-Hee Han, 63 years old, was appointed co-CEO of Samsung Electronics in December 2021. The company’s other CEO, Jun Young-hyun, oversaw the unit making semiconductors and other tech components.
