Friday is another First Alert Weather Day. Ahead of a cold front, additional thunderstorms are expected Friday afternoon and evening. There is a risk for severe weather on Friday with most of Siouxland under a Level 1/5 Marginal Risk. The main threats are strong wind gusts and hail.

The 22News Storm Team has issued a Weather Alert Tuesday, for strong to severe thunderstorms as well as a heat advisory through 8 pm Tuesday, for Central, Eastern Hampden, Hampshire, & Franklin County.

Thursday and Friday are both First Alert Weather Days since severe weather will be impacting the area. The weekend looks fantastic, especially on Saturday. We are forecasting low humidity and 80s for daytime highs. The heat and humidity return starting Sunday, with our next weather maker being in the middle of next week.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Hot temperatures across Nebraska are expected Wednesday and Thursday with occasional thunderstorms possible. Severe thunderstorms will be possible as well, especially on Thursday. Not as hot Friday and Saturday with showers and thunderstorms possible Friday and perhaps an isolated storm on Saturday.

Scattered storms over Northeast Florida quickly come to an end late Thursday afternoon, with only an isolated shower or storm into this evening. In Southeast Georgia, storms increase.

Expect a classic pattern of hot, humid days with scattered afternoon thunderstorms continuing through early next week. For today, Thursday, we’ll see a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the upper 80s to near 90°F.

A few storms cannot be ruled out if you live southwest of Wausau, but our best rain chances come tomorrow and to start out the weekend.
