South Korean law enforcement officials arrived early Wednesday at impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol’s official residence in the capital Seoul to begin their second attempt to detain him over his imposition of martial law last month.

South Korean police and prosecutors surrounded the presidential residence in Seoul in a huge predawn operation Wednesday as they sought to execute a warrant to arrest President Yoon Suk Yeol. Yoon was impeached last month after making a brief but botched attempt to impose martial law.

South Korean authorities investigating impeached President Yoon Seok Yeol were at his official residence on Wednesday to execute an arrest warrant over insurrection accusations related to his Dec. 3 martial law declaration.
