Leslie had winds of 40 miles per hour as it became a tropical storm in the Atlantic late Wednesday. Forecasters expect it to become a hurricane in a couple of days as it slowly moves northwest, the National Hurricane Center said in its latest advisory.

Forecasters say there may be a few quiet days in the Caribbean in the aftermath of Hurricanes Milton and Helene. But there's potential late next week.

Tropical Storm Leslie is officially no longer with us. National Hurricane Center has issued their last advisory on that tropical cyclone. Invest 94L is now the focus of potential tropical activity in the Atlantic Basin.
