President Donald Trump used his visit on Monday to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts to criticize the venue of which he’s now the chairman, claiming that it’s ripe for an overhaul, just like the country he now leads.

Last month Trump became chair of the Kennedy Center and fired its longtime president, Deborah Rutter. He installed his former ambassador to Germany, Richard Grenell, as interim president.

The Kennedy Center has been a time honored place in our country. The Honor has brought many of our favorite performers their most deserved flowers. Now, Donald Trump is trying to dismantle it bit by bit.
