Harris would expand the child tax credit for families with newborns; Trump would eliminate taxes on Social Security benefits and overtime. Both candidates would jettison taxes on tipped income. Trump’s plan leans on a sharp increase in tariffs and the expectation of faster business growth.

Harris has increased her ballot share nationally every month since entering the race, compared to Trump's steady numbers.
