Korea's industrial output saw a monthly upturn for the first time in four months in August, driven by the growth in auto and chip production, data showed Monday.

(Reuters) -German industrial production rose by a larger than expected 2.9% in August from the previous month thanks to an increase in automotive industry output, the federal statistics office said on Tuesday. Analysts polled by Reuters had predicted a 0.8% rise.

Output grew 2.9% from the previous month, beating most estimates, as the automotive industry grew output.

BERLIN (Reuters) -German exports rose in August due to strong demand from the United States, official data showed on Wednesday. Exports rose by 1.3% in August compared with the previous month, data from the federal statistics office showed.
