Several airlines have joined Air New Zealand in signing up to Elon Musk’s Starlink to deliver free wi-fi to passengers. Air France is the latest to announce plans. It did not provide a timeline for connecting its more than 200 aircraft, mostly Airbus long-haul and regional aircraft.

Air France, and other airlines that have switched to the SpaceX service, boast that Starlink offers stronger streaming and faster connectivity due to its low-Earth orbit satellites that can provide internet access in remote regions and over the ocean.
