Partial Sun to Full Sun (At Least 5 Hours of Direct Sunlight)Mature Height 30 - 36 InchesMature Spread 30 - 36 InchesGrowing Zones 5 - 9The Etouffee Fountain Grass grows true to its name. Beginning densely at the base in green, and blooming upright, before falling subtly over as if its flowing water. This beautiful grass is mounding in nature and makes a wonderful filler in borders and in any landscape. It has long stems, and blooms a nice tan and pink bottlebrush flower. The blooms last from Spring, all the way until Fall. This perennial grass is low maintenance and ornamental in nature. Its deer resistant, so it can be planted outside of fencing without threat of deer consumption. The pink bottlebrush flowers and fluffy nature of this grass make it attractive to songbirds. Its versatile, and not only can it be an addition to the landscape, but it could be used as filler in bouquets to add texture and charm. Etouffee Fountain Grass CareThis perennial grass can survive in hardiness zones five through nine. It prefers full to partial sun. Like most grasses, it requires an average amount of water but is drought tolerant once established. It would be beneficial, after a dry period, to give this grass a nice drink of water if the plant isnt established yet. The Etouffee Fountain Grass will tolerante most soil types. Perhaps a wonderful quality of this grass, it wont reseed! This means that when the grass is planted as a clump, it will stay that way. Trimming should be done at the beginning of the season, cut down to the base. Etouffee Fountain Grass SpacingThe Etouffee Fountain Grass can grow 30 to 36 inches tall. Considering its fountain characteristics, it should be spaced 30 to 36 inches apart.Etouffee™ Fountain Grass InformationUSDA Hardiness Zones: 5 - 9Plant Type: Light Exposure: Partial Sun to Full Sun (At Least 5 Hours of Direct Sunlight)Mature Height: 30 - 36 InchesMature Spread: 30 - 36 InchesSpacing: 30 - 36 InchesHabit: Clumping, UprightFlower Color(s): PinkFlower Description: Bloom Period: Foliage Type: HerbaceousFoliage Color(s): GreenFoliage Description: Seasonal Interest: Spring Flowering, Summer Flowering, Fall Flowering, Fall Interest, 4 Season InterestWatering: AverageResists: DeerTolerates: DroughtAttracts: BirdsContainer Role: Uses: Borders, Erosion Control, Mass Planting, Specimen or Focal Point, Wildlife GardensFeatures: Attracts Pollinators, Foliage Interest, Low MaintenanceBrand: WorryFreeCommon Name: Etouffee™ Fountain GrassOther Name(s): Scientific Name: PENNISETUM A. `ETOUFFEE` (STERILE) | All Plants > Specimen Plants WorryFree 1012960-pc
