Full Sun (At Least 6 Hours Of Direct Sunlight)Mature Height 8 - 21 InchesMature Spread 8 - 21 InchesGrowing Zones 5 - 9Rose Tempo Geum has the loveliest watercolor pink blooms that will give you a beautiful show early in the summer. This herbaceous perennial provides bunches of blooms for both pollinating insects and hummingbirds. The strawberry-like foliage makes a good semi-evergreen groundcover that spreads vigorously and helps to suppress weeds.Rose Tempo Geum makes for a wonderful cut flower that is long lasting in the vase. A cutback of the first blooms will result in a second, later flush of blooms in the summer. Geums are deer and rabbit resistant and extremely low maintenance. Used in the garden bed or in containers, these beautiful pink flowers will brighten up any spot you put it in. Geum makes a great companion to spring blooming bulbs, Peonies and Clematis.Rose Tempo Geum CareRose Tempo Geum prefers a soil that is consistently moist, but not waterlogged. A neutral soil pH and average texture loam make the best planting medium. Full sun will keep this prolific bloomer growing.Geum can be fully cut back at the end of the fall for winter maintenance. Dividing will be needed every 2-3 years to keep this plant vigorous and healthy. The best time to divide is in the fall after all the blooming has finished. A mulch of organic compost or leaves will ensure the new plants survive the winter. Fertilizing with a slow release feed early in the spring as the new growth emerges. Rose Tempo Geum SpacingRose Tempo Geum reaches a height of 8-21 inches and a width of 8-21 inches. When planting in large groups as a ground cover, space Geum 18 inches on center. This close spacing will ensure that the plants grow together quickly forming a lovely weed suppressing mat.Rose Tempo™ Geum InformationUSDA Hardiness Zones: 5 - 9Plant Type: PerennialsLight Exposure: Full Sun (At Least 6 Hours Of Direct Sunlight)Mature Height: 8 - 21 InchesMature Spread: 8 - 12 InchesSpacing: 8 - 12 InchesHabit: MoundedFlower Color(s): PinkFlower Description: Bloom Period: Foliage Type: DeciduousFoliage Color(s): GreenFoliage Description: Seasonal Interest: Spring Flowering, Summer FloweringWatering: AverageResists: DeerTolerates: HeatAttracts: ButterfliesContainer Role: Uses: Borders, Containers, Edging, Wildlife GardensFeatures: Attracts Pollinators, Cut Flowers, Continuous Blooming or RebloomerBrand: Common Name: Rose Tempo™ GeumOther Name(s): Scientific Name: GEUM TEMPO `ROSE` | All Plants > Border Plants Plant Addicts 1012904-pc
