Historically associated with seafaring, the cable knit sweater is a forever-relevant comfort essential that evokes craftsmanship and tradition. Our take accentuates and emphasizes the relaxed elements with an oversized fit, dropped shoulders, and roomy, cocoon-shaped sleeves that end in snug rib cuffs. We have visited our wool-supplying farms to ensure that their sheep are raised and sheared in exemplary conditions, free of the cruel practice of mulesing. The fibers for this garment come from a farm in New South Wales, Australia, and are then processed and finished in an Italian facility that runs on 100% renewable energy and adheres to best in class chemical standards. The garment was made by highly skilled artisans in Bolivia who act as entrepeneurs for a woman-owned business focused on women empowerment. Many of the local artisans are mothers who receive encouragement to master their skills. They are offered flexible schedules and daycare services onsite to ensure they can care for their children and work comfortably.
