Premium rare flower seeds. This package includes approximately 10 counts of premium No filler Non-GMO heirloom untreated bulk Double Purple Geranium Pelargonium seeds. Feature. Geraniums (pelargoniums) are popular bedding plants, providing a burst of color or fragrance throughout summer. They're easy to grow and thrive in terracotta pots as well as traditional bedding displays. Attract pollinators. The stunning flower is hugely attractive to bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and other pollinators, and will encourage them to visit often. When to plant. In USDA 3-9, you can plant Geraniums in spring until after all danger of frost has passed. In regions with mild winters, try planting perennial geraniums from late fall to early spring. Sow. Sow seeds in rows 2 to 3 inches apart and cover with about 1/8 inch of the medium. After sowing, thoroughly water the medium. Keep soil moist at 70 to 75 degrees F. Seedlings emerge in 7 to 15 days. Pelargonium is a genus of flowering plants that includes about 280 species of perennials, succulents, and shrubs, commonly called geraniums, pelargoniums, or storksbills. Geranium is also the botanical name and common name of a separate genus of related plants, also known as cranesbills. While Geranium species are mostly temperate herbaceous plants, dying down in winter, Pelargonium species are evergreen perennials indigenous to warm temperate and tropical regions of the world, with many species in southern Africa. They are drought and heat tolerant, but can tolerate only minor frosts. Some species are extremely popular garden plants, grown as houseplants and bedding plants in temperate regions. They have a long flowering period, with flowers mostly in red, orange, or white.
