It boasts some of the largest flowers we've seen on a non-climbing plant. Let it sprawl in the front of border gardens, or gather the stems on a tomato cage so that it looks like a giant bouquet. The blue-indigo color of the sepals around its bright yellow center reminds us of our favorite denim jeans, and its large, heart-shaped leaves make a striking green counterpoint. Clematis x 'Durandii' In our EZ Pruning Guide, this variety is in the GREEN pruning category. These Clematis bloom on new vines that emerge from the ground each year or stems from near the bottom of older vines.
