We carry over 30 distinct types of Classic, Best Selling, Hybrid, and true to parent Hostas! Ranging in size from Miniature to Giant. Our Sum & Substance are really SOMETHING! :) Widely attractive to hummingbirds and bees of all kinds. Blooms vary in color from white-dark purple, lilac, or pale purple being the most common. Growers' choice, you will receive a wide variety of bare root Hosta in quantities of 6, 12, or 27. Varieties, Undulata Albo-Marginata, Mighty Mouse, Sum & Substance, Shadowland Wu-La-La, Undulata; The Striped One, Royal Standard, Gold Standard, Guacamole, Avocado, and many more! Mix contains hosta of dark green/white margins, chartreuse green/dark blue-green margins, chartreuse green, dark and lime green/deep white margins, solid green... Full Shade/Partial Shade (Rule of thumb, the whiter a hosta, or blue, the more shade it will require. The more chartreuse or yellow, the more sun tolerant they will be.) Easy to Grow Fast Growing Grows in Clump, Height and Spread will depend on the variety, will vary. Plant spring-fall, adjusting water in warm months. Very Low Maintenance Blooms late Spring-Summer *Orders placed before October 15th will ship at once. Orders placed after October 15th will ship in the spring of the following year. Our spring that is, as we are an outdoor nursery in the UP of Michigan. **ALL PLANTS ARE GUARANTEED FOR ONE YEAR FROM ARRIVAL AT YOUR DOOR, NO QUESTIONS ASKED. (No questions asked within reason. If you leave your plants to rot at the USPS, they will not be guaranteed. If you wash your new perennials in a variety of Neem Oils, and the latter, they will not be guaranteed.) Please do your research before adding a new perennial to your garden. I typically do this a year ahead of time. Gardening takes planning. Spring is the ideal time to plant, although, planting may take place spring-fall as long as you are adequately watering them. Your new "babies" arrive, clean bare roots. They are ready to go directly into the ground after careful unpacking. Plant them in their prepared beds, give them "drinks" until established. We are an outdoor nursery in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, spring could happen from mid-March-the beginning of May. For example, May 1st-May 3rd, 2023, we received 13+ inches of wet heavy snow and ice. We lost power. The following week and a half, we had major flooding. Even made the national news. The weather could affect shipping and there may be delays. We do our absolute best to ship promptly. In case of the above, we will keep our customers in the loop with concise updates. Update, 2/27/24, we have bare dirt, no snow. We have not had snow all winter, which is unheard of this far north. Update, 2/28/24, 56 degrees yesterday. Today, we are receiving 5+ inches of wet heavy snow. That is how fast the weather changes here. Thank you so very much for supporting my small business! I appreciate you greatly! However, once your plant is shipped, issues may arrive with the carrier that we could not have foreseen or anticipated, as well as having no control over. We strive for perfection in your plant arriving in pristine condition. That being said, your happiness is my main goal. I could not do what I do without you. If your order arrives damaged or you are just not happy, please contact me at my office straightaway by email or phone and I will personally make things right.
