Designed to work with most traditional Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) wireless routers from a variety of manufacturers this extender uses two powerful internal antennas to deliver up to 1600 Mb/s data transfers over the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands with compatible devices. With a mesh network all devices use the same network ID (SSID) allowing for seamless 4K video streaming online gaming and video chat experiences as you move from room to room. A Gigabit Ethernet port is available for connecting wired devices including computers smart TVs and video game consoles.Setup is easy. Simply plug the EAX12 into an available wall outlet where you need coverage. Then press the WPS buttons on both the extender and your router to pair them. You can use the Netgear Nighthawk mobile app for Android and iOS to configure manage and monitor your network from almost anywhere. The EAX12 is backward compatible with previous Wi-Fi standards. Your wireless signal is protected with WPA3 encryption.
