Ships early to mid April, weather dependent. Lovely blush pinky-peach flower with soft creamy yellow centers. A glowing treasure with strong stems and upward facing blossoms. Sought after for wedding work. And, it makes a moody photo, perfect for wall art, if the light is right. Type: Formal Decorative Height: 5' Blossom Size: 5" Full Sun. Perfect cut flowers on long strong, straight stems. **Shipping via first class or priority mail, weight dependent. Dahlias thrive in full sun and should be planted in a location that receives a minimum of 6-8 hours of sunlight a day, less sun, less blooms. To plant dig a 6-8" hole (or amend complete bed) and add a handful of low nitrogen fertilizer, set tuber with "eyes'" facing up and cover with 2-3" of soil. Do not water until shoots appear, then begin to fill in with soil until it reaches ground level. One dahlias begin to bloom, foliar feeding with a fish and seaweed formula (low nitrogen) is beneficial every other week. Fertilizers high in nitrogen produce plants that are large and green but have small or very little blooms with week stems. Dahlia's may be susceptible to rot when soil is too heavy, soil should drain freely, if not amend with peat moss or sand. For container planting, water well once at planting, then hold off on watering again until shoots appear. **Shipped as tubers and the plants are grown without chemicals on my farm in USA.
