The Spilled Wine® Weigela is an easy, reliable shrub you will love. It has rich burgundy leaves from spring to the end of fall, and from late May it is covered in large trumpet-shaped flowers of a brilliant rich purple-pink. It makes a great show, and it is very easy to grow. More compact than other purple-leaf weigela, it grows only 2 to 3 feet tall, and it is always a little wider than tall, with a mounded form. Use it in the front of your beds, along a path or driveway, or in planters and pots.
